ShareTrade began with a simple belief: that lasting change grows through relationships.

Behind the things we buy and the products we enjoy are real people, families, and communities. We call them origin communities, the places where things are grown, harvested, made, and cared for long before they ever reach us.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of spending time with farmers, families, educators, and local leaders in these communities. Those relationships have shaped how we see the world and taught us something important: lasting impact isn’t simply about giving. It begins by listening, learning, walking alongside one another, and building something together.

ShareTrade exists to make the connection between where something comes from and where it goes, and to help it become more meaningful.

We help build relationships between businesses, individuals, and origin communities that can strengthen communities, expand opportunity, and open doors through education.

We call this model Relationally Sourced, through ShareTrade.

Our first step is in the Rwenzori Mountains of western Uganda, where we are working alongside the local community of farmers to establish ShareTrade’s first school and invest in educational opportunities for generations to come.

It’s a beginning. And we hope that over time, many more relationships, opportunities, and communities will grow from it.
